Food Waste Apps
Apps are a common attempt to reduce food waste. In my dissertation, I analysed three apps in this area and wanted to find out how practices around food waste change when apps are introduced to the market. By describing various realities around apps, this dissertation shows the possibilities and limitations of digital platforms in combating food waste.

Boxing Clever
Do food waste apps actually save lemons from the bin? While this is promised by the app providers, my research shows that the users are held responsible for what happens to the food that has already been labelled as ‘saved’ by the platform. However, the users are only seen as buyers, not eaters.

Culinary Memories
In this very personal text, I am kicking off a recurring format in a biannual print magazine. It's about my culinary memories from a mountain village in Switzerland.

More of the Same?
What do Swiss people understand by ‘eating well’? How do they use digital technologies to pursue this understanding in their everyday lives? In this article, we show how digital platforms reinforce existing interests in food.
